3 Idiots * * * *

Rajkumar Hirani is god-like if not god himself. Making a full-fledged hardcore entertainer but with a message is what he is up to. After the Munnabhai double comes yet another master-piece.It was time.A message needed to be delivered.A very important one at that.To the loving parents and their super-intelligent kids.We are just little kids born in this free society with the right to decide what we want with our lives.Your attempt to mould us into a pattern which deeply fascinates you and makes you walk tall in front of the society is not necessarily the right one for us.Let us free, give us the freedom we deserve.

The movie is loosely based on FPS by Chetan Bhagat. The whole plot uses multiple flash backs to proceed. It starts when two friends who studied together in college meet once again and start on a road trip to find the missing link, Rancho. He was very different than others.Like a free flowing river. He was so simple yet no one understood him.He could do anything. He helped everyone. He was perfection personified. He helps his two friends realize what they actually want and convinces not just them but everyone that the whole education system is screwed up big time. Forget about the authorities but even if parents realize where they wrong when it comes to the education of their children, it will be a huge relief to many.

Anyways, the movie is a hilarious roller coaster that won't give you a second to nap in between the flip-flops. Few scenes are so funny that you get a extreme lol-pain like the teachers day speech by chatur. There are a few weird scenes as well in the movie like the one with the baby coming out on a ping pong table being sucked by a vacuum cleaner, but you kinda enjoy them so much that it doesn't feel weird at all.The bottom line being what is being said, and not how it is being said. It is being said in a way in which masses would understand. And probably this is the best thing about the movie. Besides that, Kareena plays a nice cameo and Boman is rocking too.

The movie touches perfection. The music, the plot, the actors, the characters, the script and the Aamir. This time the 'perfectionist' tag will be difficult to decide between Aamir and Rajkumar Hirani. Nevertheless, both are the winners here. S0 make sure that your parents don't miss this one and of course you too.I bet you will come out super-impressed singing these lines all the way back home.

Give me some sunshine, Give me some rain !
Give me another chance, I want to grow up once again !!

P.S. And also All is well !

You are Beautiful

What is beauty to you? Is it only the image of a person projected on your retina courtesy your eyes? Or that old saying that we hear sometimes 'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder' is actually true ? Or is it something else.Something much more deeper, much more meaningful and truly but sadly inexplicable. For a minute, just try to forget everything else going on around you, and think what is beauty to you?

When we come into this world, our mother is the beauty to us.She just can not let go off us even for a minute. She holds you in those extremely loving and protective arms of hers.To her, we are the world. She teaches us how to walk, talk, learn, behave, love and everything else too.

When you yourself become a parent, your child is the beauty to you.All you want to do is hold him/her in your arms forever. You dream of a wonderful tomorrow for your child. You plan, save and sacrifice for that dream. You see your child go places where you could not.You see your child living your dreams for you.

When you grow old and you see some young one as aspiring and passionate as you once were, that person is the beauty for you.You see a reflection of your past in that person and then you go all nostalgic. You suddenly feel young again. That wave, that energy. All comes gushing back.

But in between all these phases, only some are fortunate enough to be loved passionately by someone. And when you fall in love, that person that you truly and passionately love becomes the most beautiful for you.You keep on telling that person that 'You are the most Beautiful of all !'.That person is sometimes confused.'There are hell lot of other good looking ones, why do you keep on saying this?'.And if only there were some words strong enough to explain that irrational feeling.Beauty is not mere physical. It's a much more complex entity.Your love makes you beautiful.Your care makes you beautiful.Your concern makes you beautiful. The thought of spending the life with you makes you beautiful. The fact that your smile makes me smile makes you beautiful. The pain I get if you suffer makes you beautiful. You completing me, makes you beautiful. So believe you me, when i say it loud, ' You are Beautiful! '.

Paa * *

Why is this movie even titled 'Paa'? Why not 'Auro' ? Or even 'Maa' seems to makes much more sense. This film is not about the fatherly love, care and the protective figure that he should be.Instead, here a man abandons a girl he knocked up for the sake of his career. He has no concerns whatsoever for that girl in 13 years un till he accidently meets his own 12 yr old son who stands as tall as him courtesy the super rare DNA mismatch called Progeria. His body grows 6 times faster that his mind and ergo at age 12, he already is a senior citizen physically. His head is larger than life and he looks like some desi ET.

Vidya portrays Auro's mother as a strong woman who never complains the fact that why that rare malfunction had to happen to her child. For her, Auro is everything. When her love interest showed his disinterest in raising a child so early at their age, she turned into this strong women devoid of feelings with a stone-heart which only melts for Auro. She is proud of her son rather than being embarrassed. Some jerks might learn a lesson here who are too embarrassed taking their ugly infants to the outside world. They are your children damn it. And no one in this world is ugly for god sake. It's your dirty dirty perceptions into play.Anyways, the flick clearly depicts the heart touching motherly love and that uncanny bond that they both share .Also, the movie starts with an innovative Jaya speaking out the names of the actors. This film is all about mothers. Why name it 'Paa' ?

Oh crap.....I forgot to mention what this film was supposed to be about.Am I experiencing a Deja Vu? Yes I am, the writer and director R Balki also forgot the same. This film should have been about Auro .And not about his biological father's political dream. The first half of the movie is so out of the line that you actually think this film is not about the excellent portrayal of a special kid by the versatile AB, rather its about AB jr and his political crap. The director should have realized this that this was supposed to be a SUB-plot and not sub-PLOT.Nevertheless, hats-off to AB.He is a pure genius. He has done it again.Another gem for his collection. How do you play a 60 yr old man who is still 12 mentally. Why bother, just go and watch AB doing all the pranks and boy he is hilarious at that. And also some of his friends at school. But the sad thing being that he did not get the screen presence he deserved and ergo the audience fails to feel that emotional connect with Auro. And talking about the weird camerawork, was that suppose to be cool ? FYI that sucked big time too. This is what happens when you forget the protagonist and focus on every other damn aspect. It could have been so good.Still, watch it for AB and watch it for Auro.

Smile Because

Smile Because,
For someone, that is the most beautiful thing in this world.
For many, it can be the only reason to smile that day.
For few more, it can make them fly high,in that love-sky.

Smile because,
it only makes the path easier,
it only strengthens you when you fall,
it only gives you that zest to sustain,
to conquer and to live!

Smile because,
you never need a reason for it,
rather reasons come when you do.
You don't need a season either,
it snows when you do.

And smile because,
someone you inspired once to smile,
might teach you how to,
if you ever forget, to smile.

Betrayal

It was an ambush,
the plot was a set-up,
the fate tricked us.
The fortune of those,
who had departed before us,
was the catch we fell for.

We were shown a promising tomorrow,
with all the glory and the smiles.
We were made to dream,
to touch the horizon.

But fate it seems,
is not without a sense of irony,
is not without a sense of surprise,
and not without the unexpected.

It was our time.
And it crushed us all.
We stood there spell bound.
Fighting for that last resort.
That tiny drop of satisfaction.

We moved on somehow.
But the irony did not.
It was now time for those,
who we left behind us,
and fate welcomed them as well,
like it greeted those who departed before us.

Is there something specially ominous about us,
why were we the chosen ones,
why did fate betray us,
We , the batch of 2005.
