Where is that damn white rabbit ?

Are we really living our lives by ourselves ? Are we?

We seem to be driven by something most of the time.Focus on the following lines.We take birth.Join School. Pass almost 14 years without any clue loaded with books and homework and the pressure to outperform others so that our parents can brag in the society,their offices and where ever they go. Then comes a crucial choice.AIIMS vs IIT.We slog and slog like pigs without even knowing what the fuck we are slogging for.May be for the fame. And if we don't get through, there are zillion private colleges to absorb us.In those four years, mostly people learn to use BitComet and then brag about their quotidian downloads.Then comes the choice between a job or higher studies.We just do what people around us do.Then comes IT/Govt. We just do what people around us do.Eventually to find out that no one is happy with what they are doing.

Whom to blame? It's certainly not us.The culprit is the education system.The ignorance about various unconventional opportunities.The system never gives us time to explore ourselves.We never spend time with ourselves.We never try to learn what we love.We are always in that hurry.Running after things we don't even know or want, but just because everyone else is.How do expect to be happy after achieving them? You never actually craved for them. Your purpose is something else and unless the purpose is fulfilled, you won't be happy.

But people find various other resorts. Some people drink and smoke and raise the toast to the fact that the grass is always greener on the other side.They try to convince themselves that whatever they do, this feeling of satisfaction will not come.They do succeed momentarily, but it comes back every now and then to haunt them.Some people just take off their frustration cribbing about their lives coming up with reason why they can't change the way things are.Some people drown in sadism seeking joy from failures of those who at least make an attempt.

The way things are going, one might wonder if this world is eventually a computer program. And if that is true, then where the hell is my Morpheus ? Where the fuck is Trinity? And where is that damn white rabbit?

But then we will only find the answers if we try harder.Perseverance will eventually pay off.Try out different things.Don't be scared of anything.This is the time to take chances.Because if you don't, and after like 10 years you meet someone who did, you will regret it like anything.It will kill you.Literally.

The sad part of our education system is that it does not allow you to discover it teaches you. Another sad part is the pressure that society exerts on a person right from his childhood. But the good part is that some of us realize these things and work towards it. Very seamlessly written, cheers :)

you can argue with whatever reasons....but i feel tht if u've actually realized wat u said....u wont just put the blame entirely on the educational system...u will have to share the blame as well

@Garda

Yes, it's time to be the change we want to see !

@Kandy

share the blame.... when we were at school ..where we intelligent enough to make the call... No! And that's precisely the reason why we go to school...so that we can have the guidance ..so that we can explore ourselves...but the way it is...you just get pushed along the crowd in either of the two or three available options and you have no option then but to go with the damn flow!

well..buddy...just look into the background of the famous indian personalities u knw...m sure u find most of them have indeed paved their own path..that too treading along unconventional lines...just following their passion.....they didnt get stereotyped though the conditions must have been same for them....

@kandy

Well how many of them are out there who reached that level... and we only know about them because they made immense progress...but what about zillion others who didn't ...and i not talking about people who just complain and crib...but those who struggle all their lives because of somethings which went wrong at inception.

kandy said...

dude..if something is wrong at the inception..and if someone takes a whole life to understand it...there's simply no point arguig abt tht..there's no defence...
and if the wrongness of the inception has been understood, though late, corrective measures cud always be taken..keeping an eye on the future..not past :)

Accepted...but our life cycle has certain stages and after a particular stage we are so much into boundations and resposibilites that we unwillingly accept what ever comes our way....we might not be at the liberty to break free into the wild...you can say that this has to be our call..but reality sucks big time...we might not complain...but somewhere deep down inside we have a grudge for the system for being the way it is.
