The Plastic Guilt

Standing on the bridge over river Ringgi, one could see through the waters, one could observe the melodious maneuvers of the Common Carps. The sunlight piercing through the layers to eventually fall upon their golden fins. There are rocks scattered along the river path, as if arranged by some artist. Green canopies on either side. What a sight.
And then your gaze falls upon heaps of polythene bags, food wraps and other non-biodegradable litter along the banks. The place being rural lacks a Municipal system for garbage connection. But the lifestyles are getting urbanized with love for processed food etc. Looking at that, these days, I hesitate to buy anything which comes in a polythene. Serene surroundings inculcating the Plastic guilt!
